Common questions
How do I add a friend?
Open the Friends tab to find your friend code and QR code, or to add someone else’s. They get a friend request, and once they accept, you’re friends.
Why didn’t I get a text with my code?
Check the number you typed, and give the text a minute to arrive. Then tap Resend code once it’s ready. If Kyte says “Too many codes”, wait a few minutes before trying again. Still nothing? Email us.
Are flight times live?
Not yet. When you add a flight by its number, the route and times come from a sample schedule, so check them against your ticket and change anything that’s off. Live flight data is coming.
Who can see my trips?
Only the people on the trip. Someone you invite sees the trip’s basics before they answer, and a Just me trip is only yours. There are no public profiles or followers.
Is my location shared?
Only when you share it. Add “Where I am” to an announcement and the people on the trip see that spot, exact or rough, and Apple Maps looks up its name. With Trip Assurance on, they also see when it spots you at one of your plans. Everything else about where you are stays on your iPhone and is never sent to us. You can turn location off any time in Settings › Kyte › Location.
How do I manage or cancel Kyte+?
In the test version, Kyte+ is a demo preview: it’s free, so there’s nothing to pay for or cancel, and what’s in it may change before it launches.
How do I report a bug?
If you’re testing through TestFlight, take a screenshot and tap Share Beta Feedback, or open TestFlight and tap Send Beta Feedback. You can also email us.
How do I delete my account?
In Kyte, open Settings › Account › Delete account and data. It needs a connection: it erases Kyte’s data from your iPhone at once, and deletes your account from our server 14 days later unless you sign back in. If you’ve already deleted the app, sign in again to delete your account, or email us and we’ll delete it for you.
Still need help?
Email us and we’ll get back to you, usually within a couple of days.
